Breanna + Brady | Knoxville Botanical Garden Engagement

There’s something so sweet about full-circle moments—and Breanna and Brady’s engagement session was just that.

Breanna actually caught the bouquet at one of my past weddings (hi Randi!!), and now here we are, capturing her engagement. I love when life brings people back around like that. It’s such a special feeling, and it made this session even more meaningful.

Playful, Goofy, and All Smiles

From the moment we started, Breanna and Brady brought such a fun energy. They were playful, goofy, and constantly making each other laugh—and those little in-between moments? Absolute gold. The way they interact with each other is so natural, like they’ve been best friends forever. They didn’t need much direction, just space to be themselves, and that’s exactly what made their session so special.

A Garden Full of Magic

We wandered all through the Knoxville Botanical Garden, but one of my favorite spots (and theirs too, I think!) was under this beautiful row of tall trees. They kind of hug the couple and frame the moment in the most magical way—it’s quiet, soft, and feels like something out of a storybook. There’s something timeless about that part of the garden, and it created such a peaceful, romantic backdrop for some of their more tender moments.

Bloom Drinks, Disney Plans & A New Favorite

Midway through the session, I was sipping on my usual Alani Nu energy drink when I noticed Breanna had a Bloom one in her hand. I’d been wanting to try them, so of course I had to ask if they were any good—and she had all the flavor recommendations ready. Safe to say, I still love my Alani, but I’m officially a Bloom fan now too!

She was also heading to Disney World the very next morning—like, bright and early—and was telling me all about her trip. Since my husband and I have been dreaming of taking our little girl sometime in the next year, I was all ears. It just added another layer to how much fun the whole session was—we were swapping stories, laughing between shots, and the whole thing felt so relaxed and real.

The Moment That Got Me

There was one moment toward the end of the shoot when they were rolling around in the grass, totally unfiltered and laughing so hard, and I just had this pause—this is why I love what I do. It’s not about perfect poses or the most curated setup. It’s about real connection. Real joy. Real love. And these two brought all of that.

Wedding Countdown: On

Breanna and Brady are tying the knot this August, and if their wedding is anything like this session, it’s going to be full of laughter, love, and that unshakable friendship they share. Breanna and Brady, thank you for trusting me, for being down for anything, and for making this day such a joyful one. I cannot wait to capture your wedding day soon—let’s do this thing!
