LOGEN + JACK'S KNOXVILLE ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Downtown Charm & Garden Whimsy
Sometimes the best things really are worth the wait—and Logen and Jack’s engagement session is proof of that. We had originally planned to shoot a bit earlier in the spring, but Tennessee weather had other ideas (hello, gloomy skies and sideways rain). Thankfully, we found a new date—and oh my goodness, it was so worth it. The skies cleared, the sun peeked through, and these two brought all the joy and laughter with them.
We kicked things off in the heart of downtown Knoxville—classic steps, historic columns, and that elegant city feel that pairs perfectly with a white dress and a little hand-holding. Jack has the most gentle way of loving Logen—quiet forehead kisses, soft smiles, arms always wrapped around her. And Logen? She lights up every frame. Their love feels steady and joy-filled, the kind that’s just easy to be around.
Then we made our way to the Knoxville Botanical Gardens, where the evening light wrapped around them like a warm hug. Logen showed up in the cutest overalls—something I later found out her sweet mama encouraged her to wear. When Logen asked what to wear for their session, her mom simply said, “Just be yourself.” And truly, that advice could not have been more perfect. Watching her laugh, run through the grass, and cozy up next to Jack in a way that felt completely natural—it was magic. (Also, she inspired me to finally buy my own pair of overalls, and now they’re my new favorite outfit!)
One of my favorite things about this session is that Logen loves film photography just as much as I do. That shared love made documenting their story on both digital and film feel even more meaningful—there’s just something about the timelessness of film that mirrors the way they love.
These two are tying the knot this May in beautiful Livingston, Tennessee, and if this session is any sign of what’s to come, their wedding day will be filled with joy, happy tears, and all the in-between moments that mean the most.
Logen and Jack—thank you for trusting me, for making me laugh, and for reminding me how beautiful love looks when you're fully, wonderfully yourself. I can’t wait for May.
