Elopement Style Wedding Session
Dakota and Jimmy have been married almost a year now. It rained pretty much the entire day on their wedding day. Although we were still able to capture some gorgeous shots from their wedding day, we decided to set aside a day to shoot again. Nothing is better than golden hour for wedding photos. We made an entire day out of their max patch elopement style wedding photos. We left from Knoxville around 12-1 and were able to make it on top of the mountain just in time for golden hour.
Dakota and Jimmy wanted to do their engagement photos in the snow and obviously it was cold but when I say it was cold the day we went to max patch, it was FREEZING COLD. I have never been in pain from the cold but I was no doubt. I had several layers on and I was still froze. Imagine being on top of a mountain ya know where the wind is so strong and on top of that, the temperature being 20 degrees. They were total troopers though. I honestly don't know how they were able to pose and smile for as long as they did. We stayed on the mountain for about 20 minutes and decided we couldn't handle it any longer. We couldn't feel our hands.
On our way back down the mountain we stopped at several spots and was able to take even more dreamy golden hour shots. Some of those ended up being my favorite. The sun peaking through the fir trees (I think that's what those tress are lol!) was more than perfect. Scroll through these gorgeous images to see just how dreamy their session really was!
